Emanuel Ungaro turns to Italian Castor (run by Angela Picozzi, Picozzi Elena and Francesca Agosta), moving on from Vaperio, to produce his first ready-to-wear collection.

The maison has just signed a two-year renewable agreement with this new Italian partner who has already worked closely with Giles Deacon to produce and distribute his "Giles" collection. Deacon is full of praise for the company he describes as "one of the most respected family producers in Italy."

Mary Fournier, CEO of Emanuel Ungaro emphasises that "the excellent relationship already established between Castor and Giles Deacon will facilitate Emanuel Ungaro to fit in well with the new team."

Emanuel Ungaro currently has 50 outlets around the world. A figure that the brand wants to triple within one year, she tell us.

As new Creative Director of Emanuel Ungaro, Giles Deacon is looking forward to presenting this new joint collaboration at Paris fashion week, while his "Giles" line will be admired on the other side of the channel at London Fashion week.
