Ralph Lauren launches Polo Bear watch collection featuring its famous mascot

As part of the brand’s ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations, Ralph Lauren will soon release a collection of watches featuring its famous mascot, the Polo Bear.

The Polo Bear watch collection is expected to hit Ralph Lauren’s Polo e-commerce store and a number of retail outlets in the near future. The watch collection features a number of designs all featuring the brand’s famous teddy bear logo on the watch face. The collection will retail for around $2,000 apiece.

The exclusive collection of watches includes four different bears that have all previously featured on Ralph Lauren’s branding. These are the Ivy League-inspired Preppy Bear, the 1989 runway-style Flag Bear, the suit-wearing Martini Bear, and the spectacled Spectactor Bear. This collection marks the first watch design made specifically for the Polo brand. The collection also debuted the day after the birthday of Ralph Lauren himself.

The watches include RL300-1 movement and lacquered cream white dials. The watches’ interchangeable straps are made from necktie silk twill patterns and also feature French calfskin and alligator-skin.

As part of the Ralph Lauren brand’s half-century celebrations, the brand also recently released a '90s-inspired “Downhill Skier” collection that features brightly hued logos and “1992”-emblazoned hats.
